在美国区 iTunes Store 消费时，如果你使用卡付款并且账单地址位于某些对「Digital Products」收费的州，则你在 iTunes Store 购买的 App、应用内购买、音乐、电子书就可能会被征税。
你可以将卡的账单地址更改为免税州地址，但银行和商户都可能会进行 AVS 检查，以确认你提供的地址是否和你的卡片在银行预留的一致。
部分银行发行的信用卡似乎不执行 AVS，但借记卡会执行 AVS 检查，这包括：
- American Express 信用卡（Credit Card）和签账卡（Charge Card）
- Capital One 信用卡
这些卡使用任何账单地址都可以顺利绑定上 iTunes Store。
对于强制执行 AVS 检查的银行，你无法直接为卡片使用免税州地址，但是你可以利用 iTunes Store 的税收机制来避免。
iTunes Store 允许添加多个付款方式，在前序付款方式不可用时会自动使用后序付款方式。同时，iTunes Store 只使用第一个卡付款方式的账单地址来判断税收情况，因此你可以使用一个可以随意填写账单地址且不会因为多次付款失败而被禁用的付款方式 —— Apple Cash。
激活 Apple Cash 并不需要提供 SSN 或 ID，虽然不提供这些信息会导致 Apple Cash 功能受限。但本文的主旨并不是使用 Apple Cash 进行收付款。
激活 Apple Cash 后，无视要求验证身份的提示，直接打开「Payment & Shipping」，然后将 Apple Cash 的顺序调整到第一位（不算上 Apple Account Balance）。
由于 Apple Cash 是 Apple 提供的服务，因此 Apple 在处理购买时会清楚地知道你的 Apple Cash 账户中并没有可用余额，就会自动跳过该付款方式。但 Apple Cash 确实是一张 VISA 借记卡（所有旧版 Discover 借记卡已经全部更新为 VISA 借记卡），所以计算税收情况时会以 Apple Cash 的账单地址为准。
